Shipping

We currently ship via Japan Post or FedEx.

Japan Post

● EMS (Express Mail Service)
Delivery time approx. 3-10 days
High cost, but fully insured. Quick & safe delivery.


● ePacket Air Mail

Delivery time approx. 4-13 days / Weight limit: Under 2kg


● Economy SAL

Delivery time approx. 2-3 weeks / Weight limit: Under 2kg


● Surface (Sea mail)

Delivery time approx. 2-4 months
Lowest cost for large orders, but slow delivery. Not recommended for fragile items.

UPS (United Parcel Service)

● UPS Worldwide Express Saver
Delivery time approx. 3-10 days

*Delivery may be delayed unexpectedly due to customs issues, weather/traffic conditions, postal strikes, etc.


Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price/shipping fee.

You may be required to pay a customs duty and/or goods tax when/after receiving your parcels. It is the recipient's responsibility to pay import taxes and/or customs fees.

*We cannot change the value of the products on the customs declaration form.

EMS is fully insured. Others are also insured, but there is a limit to the amount of coverage.


● Shipping Time

After receiving your order and payment, we will ship your items within approximately one week.

(Depending on the items, please allow more time for shipping.)


● Holding Items

Items can be held for up to 7 days (including weekends) from the date of first purchase in order to combine with future purchases.

Any requests about holding/combining items, feel free to contact us.

Return

Return/Refund policy

Due to the vintage/antique status and delicate nature of our items, we do not normally accept returns.

However, as each situation is different, feel free to contact us if something arises.


We provide refunds if fragile items (that are not described as cracked) are damaged during shipping/delivery.

(Please include photos when you contact us in these situations.)

Parcel return

In the event of a parcel being returned to us due to "Non-Reclaim" or "Address Unknown" etc. from the transport company, it is the customer's responsibility to bear the return postage.


If you wish to reship the item, re-shipping fee will be charged in addition to the return postage above.

If you wish to cancel, a refund will be issued for the item's price minus the return postage. (We are not able to refund the shipping fee.)

Damage report

In the event of a broken item, the insurance requires that both the sender (we, Shinei) and the recipient (you, a customer) submit a damage report. If either party doesn't submit, the insurance becomes invalid.

*Please note that you will need the shipping label in order to complete the damage report.

(In the case that your claim has been rejected by your local post office, we ask that you please tell us when you went to the post office, which post office you went to, and who you talked to, if possible.)


*As the customs fees are the recipient's responsibility to pay, we can only give compensation for the broken articles. We are not able to refund the customs fees even if the items are broken.
